What is a Seed Phrase?
A seed phrase, also known as a seed recovery phrase, backup seed phrase, or mnemonic phrase, is a sequence of random words that stores the data required to access or recover cryptocurrency on blockchains or crypto wallets.
This phrase is generated by the wallet software and is encouraged to be recorded on paper for safekeeping. This is particularly useful in scenarios such as hardware breakdowns or file corruption where the user can reinstall the required wallet software and regain access to their assets via their paper.
To access the seed phrase, you can follow these steps;
1. Open the Figure Markets app.
2. Click on the three dots in the top right of the dashboard.
3. Click Manage Accounts.
4. Tap on the wallet name you're working with.
5. Select the option to 'View recovery phrase'.
You can then Copy the seed phrase, or you can perform Face ID and then view the seed phrase
**Please note, Figure Markets does not have access to your seed phrase. You as the owner of your wallet are solely responsible for the safety & security of this**
